Brian Vincent Rhodes

Brian Vincent Rhodes grew up as an acclaimed fine artist in Detroit, Michigan. An alumnus of the University of Michigan, Brian studied mechanical engineering and industrial design on an academic scholarship and afterward, designed for companies and organizations such as Chrysler, NASA, Apple Computer, and a medical device startup to name a few. After winning a film competition while working at Apple Computers, Brian decided to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a filmmaker by attending the University of Southern California’s (USC) School of Cinematic Arts in Animation and Digital Arts.
Now, an alumnus of USC, Brian has won multiple international festival awards and was a BAFTA finalist for his thesis film Mosquito: The Bite of Passage, which was hailed by faculty as “one of the most advanced films in the history of USC” at the time. Since, Brian worked for Disney / Blue Sky Studios as a storyboard artist on Spies in Disguise, in addition to co-directing a development feature with Carlos Saldanha, Director of animation films Rio and Ice Age. Brian also had led creative roles on projects for Apple TV, Netflix, the Sundance Film Festival, and the Grammys.
Recently, Brian was the lead storyboard artist on Netflix's / MACRO’s upcoming feature They Cloned Tyrone. He also served as Co-Director of the animated development feature Bud, Not Buddy with Academy Award nominated French animator Sylvain Chomet. He is currently working on development television projects at Disney TV and directing a short film currently titled "Pacemaker".
